Company History

Before there were bodybuilding workouts, instant video replays or sponsorship deals, Mikasa Sports created and perfected the most important part of the sport: the ball. It all started in Hiroshima, Japan over 89 years ago. Mikasa Sports set the standard before there was one and has never lost what makes all sports great, passion!

In 1973, Mikasa Sports arrived in California with an office that could better meet the demands of North American athletes. Then, in 2006, Mikasa Canada was created to better serve Canadian athletes.

True to our roots, we have established our reputation in volleyball. But we didn't stop there. We have that same drive and passion and apply it to basketball, soccer, water polo, football, rugby and playground balls. While we've made great accomplishments in Professional and Olympic sports, we never forget the place where all sports began: on the court or the field!
